CityCelebrity on the Internet is the "social network" project combining in itself at the same time federal nature of network and tough regional localization of the portals entering it. Thanks to such approach local events and people from regions can be provided on a global scale. On each regional portal the story about local events, people and their creative initiatives is kept. Now portals are created for the cities of the Russian Federation with the population from 300,000, them there are already more than 50.
CityCelebrity is the project of federal level directed to support and development of creative youth and people with large-scale ambitions across all Russia. On the Internet the project is submitted by federal network more than 50 city portals which live the life under one domain www.citycelebrity.ru. Besides, CityCelebrity exists also out of the Internet: now in 18 cities the creative workshops CityCelebrity work; joint projects and tenders with media, business companies, festivals and conferences of different orientation are constantly generated and performed.
Project Tasks
In fact, the purpose of the portal is integration of creative, ambitious persons from all Russia and formation of new sociocultural space.
The relevance of the CityCelebrity.ru project is connected with the fact that in the modern world from regions it is very difficult to talented and creative people to declare itself. The main sociocultural activity is concentrated today on federal portals and platforms where the greatest attention is paid to already taken place, famous people. The Citycelebrity project undertakes to solve a problem of search of the most interesting, popular, unusual people in regions and to give them the chance to prove as much as possible. The project does everything possible that the whole world learned who the best DJ of Voronezh, either the photographer of Kazan, or the artist of Vladivostok.
Audience
The number of the registered net surfers of www.citycelebrity.ru for July, 2010 exceeds 9000 people, and the number of unique visitors – 2.5 thousand people a day.
Possibilities of the portal
The network of portals CityCelebrity is equipped with a serious arsenal of means for self-expression: possibility of holding online master classes and lectures, Internet exhibitions and seminars, participation in different projects, teleconferences, work of radio station. If you the beginning teleproducer, the teacher of yoga, the individual designer or the photographer, then on the citycelebrity.ru portal you can have the blog about the activity, announce actions, take part in projects of the portal or take own initiative. The portal will be useful not only to those who want to tell the world about the activity, but also that who looks for clients and adherents wants to get a professional advice and to participate in a discussion.
Originally content of portals forms the editorial CityCelebrity group which not only creates the filling of the website, general for all cities, but also actively looks for and involves people in each city. In an effect development of each of portals depends on activity of people in the city as the basic principle of filling of portals – content which is self-generated users.
Besides, CityCelebrity is provided by network of 18 creative workshops in the different cities of Russia which work from March to June, 2010. The creative workshops CityCelebrity are not "online", but real city art platforms which allow to meet to creative units and to integrate in the groups capable to generate the ideas and to implement interesting projects. In specially prepared premises of creative workshops there take place lectures, seminars, teleconferences, exhibitions, master classes local and visitors of masters, specialists, selebrit.
In total in the creative workshops CityCelebrity more than 500 events are already held; they were visited by about 16.000 people. So, for example, in Omsk the large-scale photo exhibition "Parts of a body started. Parts of soul" where in photos told about soul hands, eyes and legs; in Tomsk there took place the interactive performance "How to sell talent?"; in Samara the master class of "A basis of studio photographing" took place; in Arkhangelsk the soap manufacture exhibition was held. The creative workshops Citycelebrity are open in the cities: Tomsk, Kaliningrad, Irkutsk, Samara, Ryazan, Kursk, Voronezh, Nizhny Novgorod, Kazan, Rostov-on-Don, Chelyabinsk, Arkhangelsk, Novosibirsk, Omsk, Tula, Belgorod, Krasnodar, Vladivostok, St. Petersburg.
Cooperation with partners
At last, CityCelebrity constantly cooperates with the different organizations, tenders and festivals, generating the independent "subprojects" giving the chance to representatives of regions to prove at the new level. For example in May-June CityCelebrity holds a joint photo contest with the National Geographic magazine; participants of network will join the musical festivals "Wild Mint" and "Kubana"; in the nearest future tender for beginners and young journalists, etc. will be started. The CityCelebrity project already attracted attention recognized Russian "selebrit": stage and film actors, designers, artists, photographers, producers, journalists and also leading business experts. For example, on a visit at the Moscow edition for carrying out a teleconference the Chief Editor of the most extremely topical magazine "Sex and the city" Maria Lobanova already visited Russia; creators hip-hoppers "Cops on fire" Yura Kvyatkovsky and Sasha Paz; producer of the festivals "Wild Mint", "Invasion", "Turtle-dove", "Kubana" Andrey Klyukin. Meetings are broadcast in all creative workshops CityCelebrity, communication to which happens in an interactive mode.
Already today CityCelebrity drew to itself attention of a large number of interesting partners, for example such as: Bayer AG, TELE2, VICHY, UZ-DAEWOO, the International institute of advertizing, the international festival of design Design Act, several hundred beauty shops and studios of beauty in 19 cities of Russia and others …
