2020: The fire because of ignition of the ventilator
In the morning on May 12, 2020 in Saint Georgy's hospital in St. Petersburg there was a fire as a result of which several people died. According to sources of Interfax, it is about six dead. The Investigative Committee (IC) reported that by 1 p.m. Moscow time the number of the victims and victims is specified.
During the fire 150 people were evacuated from hospital. According to Interfax, the fire area was 10 sq.m. The news agency reports that all died patients were connected to medical ventilators in intensive care unit where there took place the treatments infected with COVID-19 coronavirus. According to preliminary data, the device "Aventa-M" of production of the Ural instrument-making plant lit up.
The manager of department of the general resuscitation of hospital Vladimir Sulima reported that Aventa-M devices will not be used in hospital until the end of investigation. Other equipment was involved.
According to Sulima, the lit-up ventilator was received on May 1, 2020, claims to it were not. Roszdravnadzor began check of the iatrotechnics in organization in which there was a fire.
According to data of the portal of state procurements, Saint Georgy's hospital in St. Petersburg signed on April 24, 2020 the delivery contract of 237 Aventa-M ventilators. The press service of concern Radio-Electronic Technologies (KRET) where UPZ enters, confirmed to the RIA Novosti agency that ventilators of this plant were delivered to St. Petersburg, but what lit up — there are no data.
Earlier KRET was defined by the only supplier to Minpromtorg of ventilators. In total it is going to buy 5700 devices. Devices are made at the Ural instrument-making plant. The devices made here were delivered in the USA for treatment of patients with a coronavirus earlier.[1]
