Cloudneeti is the company which is engaged in cloud security. Its technologies help to prevent use of the wrong settings of applications in a cloud not to allow vulnerabilities and date leaks. The Cloudneeti service supports work with cloud infrastructures Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud and also with some popular SaaS- solutions, such as Office 365.

History

2020: Zscaler purchased Cloudneeti

On April 9, 2020 Zscaler announced Cloudneeti purchase, but did not begin to set acquisition value. The companies expect to close the transaction until the end of April.

Zscaler develops the product Private Access intended for protection of connections of employees to the corporate applications working in a private cloud or a public cloud. Also the company has a solution Internet Access ensuring safety to the user traffic in Office 365 and others SaaS systems. Cloudneeti technologies can potentially improve both products Zscaler, but the companies did not begin to share details of further work after closing of the transaction.

IT administrators can configure Cloudneeti service and set safety rules in such a way that it looked for certain problems in cloud infrastructure. For example, it is possible to introduce the rule according to which the MySQL databases placed in AWS should not be available from public network. Then Cloudneeti will show whether there are any copies of MySQL in the AWS environment of the company, and will estimate them on urgency of completion.

Regardless of whether the SaaS applications were configured incorrectly or the developer accidentally incorrectly configured a new public cloud, these shortcomings of data protection which it is possible to avoid, were the cornerstone of the largest date leaks in the history — the chief executive officer of Zscaler Jay Chaudhry noted in the statement, commenting on merger of Cloudneeti.[1]
