Company of the Innovative Technologies (CIT) LLC was a part of Transport Components holding — group of dynamically developing production, trading and service companies. Then the Ltd company took over the Moscow authorities.
History
2020: Moscow purchased KIT
On May 14, 2020 it became known of purchase by the Moscow authorities of KIT LLC which manufactures a third of all medical masks in Russia. According to the deputy mayor of the capital Vladimir Yefimov and one of the former top managers of the company, sale KIT became necessary because of COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic.
In March when we understood that the city will need the essential volume of medical masks and that we will face their deficit in the market, we purchased production which was developed in the territory of Technopolice "Moscow" — Yefimov reported Vedomosti. |
By data SPARK-Interfax to which Vedomosti refers till February 27, 2020 "WHALE" Dmitry Savin (72%) and Pavel Spichakov (28%) were owners. Then they sold 100% of the company to the owner of UK "Absolute" of Esset Management Alexander Sidorov. On March 10 "WHALE" Centrregioninvest LLC which through Sofiyskaya naberezhnaya LLC controls JSC Kapitalinvestproekt (instrument) became the only owner. Kapitalinvestproekt (JSC Kremlin Sayt was called earlier) is controlled by the Moscow government and manages different capital assets, explained to the edition a source in the mayor's office.
According to the edition, the cost of the company can be 1.5 billion rubles. The interlocutor of the newspaper among the former co-owners of firm told that "WHALE" bought on rise, and the offer was very advantageous.
"WHALE" makes three-layer masks under the Rutex and Latio brands. Since the beginning of 2020 to the middle of May the company increased the production more than twice, to 1 million masks a day. And all it is until the end of the year going to increase capacities to 2-3 million masks a day. To the middle of May Moscow needs about 4 million masks a day.
Practically everything that is made by "WHALE", Moscow takes away, and masks ship to hospitals and state institutions at cost, told Vedomosti a source in the capital mayor's office.[1]
