2024: Russian President Vladimir Putin approved the new composition of the Council for Culture and Art. List

Russia Vladimir Putin On October 15, 2024, the president approved the new composition of the Council for Culture and the Arts. This advisory body was created to inform the chapter states about the state of affairs in the field of culture and art, to ensure its interaction with creative associations and individual representatives of the creative intelligentsia, etc.

In accordance with the decree, Putin himself is the chairman of the Council. Assistant to the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Medinsky was appointed secretary, and Karen Mosfilm Shakhnazarov, head of the film concern "," was appointed deputy chairman. The Council also included:

  • Chairman of the Union of Cinematographers of Russia Nikita Mikhalkov;
  • Director of the Museum of the History of Russian Literature named after Dal Dmitry Buck;
  • Rector of the Shchepka School Boris Lyubimov;
  • Director General of the Film Studio named after Gorky Yuliana Slashcheva;
  • Artistic director and director of the Moscow Art Theater named after Chekhov Konstantin Khabensky;
  • Channel One CEO Konstantin Ernst;
  • NTV General Producer Timur Weinstein;
  • General Director of Studio TRITE Nikita Mikhalkov Leonid Vereshchagin; General Director of the Russian State Library Vadim Duda;
  • General Director of Gazprom-Media Holding Alexander Zharov;
  • Director General of the National Museum of Music Mikhail Bryzgalov.

In addition, the composition of the Presidium of the Presidential Council for Culture and Art was approved. It includes Shakhnazarov, Medinsky, Mikhalkov, as well as the chairman of the All-Russian public organization "Union of Theater Workers of the Russian Federation (All-Russian Theater Society)" Vladimir Mashkov, Director General of the Federal State Budgetary Institution of Culture "State Hermitage" Mikhail Piotrovsky and President of the State Budgetary Institution of Culture of Moscow "Moscow International House of Music" Vladimir Spivakov.[1]
