2023: Opening a brothel

On October 22, 2023, it became known that the world's first cyber brothel, a platform called Cybrothel, had opened in Berlin. The venue offers a variety of services to customers, including a private room with virtual reality (VR) technology, as well as a robotic sex doll named Kokeshi.

Various life-size silicone dolls are available to customers in the Cybrothel brothel. Visitors through a special site can choose the hair color, outfit and type of role-playing game. After that, they receive an email that indicates the time they visit the adult institution: the selected doll will shake the client in the specified room.

World's first cyber brothel opens in Berlin

Audio and visual effects are available as options. In particular, the customer can wear a VR helmet, in which the cyber hook "comes to life," demonstrating emotions and reacting to what is happening. Dubbing actresses are responsible for dubbing: dolls can communicate in English and German. Cybrothel emphasizes that it strictly respects confidentiality: nothing that happens between the customer and the doll, including actions in the virtual space, is recorded.

Statistics suggest that 98% of cyber brothel visitors are men and only 2% are women. The average age of customers is 32-33 years. Cybrothel claims the establishment staff wash the dolls after each visit with water and pH-neutral soap. They are then disinfected with hydrogen peroxide. In addition, the room itself is disinfected.

Project founder Philipp Fussenegger says his business is "an adult playground and a new way to enjoy yourself." The cost of services depends on the options chosen: for example, you will have to pay about €130 for rest with immersion in VR space.^[1]
