History
2021: AFK Sistema sold its stake in Datasine to Shutterstock
In early August 2021, AFK Sistema announced the sale of its stake in Datasine to Shutterstock, which is developing the online platform of the same name for the sale of visual content. The seller in this transaction was Sistema VC, a state-owned venture fund.
According to the president of Sistema_VC Dmitry Filatov, investing in Datasine, the fund assumed that the startup would either grow into a large independent business or be in demand as a strong team of artificial intelligence developers.
As a result, the second scenario was implemented, and we are glad that Shutterstock has become a new home for the company. The fund left the asset with profit, - said without specifying the parameters of the transaction. |
The Sistema_VC Foundation is engaged in investments in high-tech companies that demonstrate high rates of development and have the potential to become leaders in their industries or niches. As of the end of 2020, the fund was invested by 95%.
