2023: Agreement on the construction of a shipyard in Kazakhstan
In February 2024, it became known that Dearsan Shipyard is building a shipyard in Kazakhstan.
An investment agreement was signed with the Kazakh authorities on November 17, 2023, and the construction of ships at the shipyard should begin in 2024. However, information about the deal was leaked to the media only in February 2024.
Due to the shallow depth in the Caspian Sea, the new shipyard of Kazakhstan is not suitable for large-tonnage vessels, therefore, most likely, patrol boats and small rocket and artillery vessels will be built here.
2021: Deniz Han corvette assembled in Turkmenistan
The Turkish shipbuilding company is showing great interest in working with the countries of Central Asia: back in 2021, Dearsan Shipyard built a 92-meter corvette Deniz Han of the C92 project for the Turkmenistan Navy according to a model presented at the IDEF-2019 defense exhibition in Istanbul. This ship was assembled at the shipbuilding and ship repair plant of the State Border Guard of Turkmenistan in Ufra from sections delivered from the Gülhan & Dearsan İş Ortaklığı located in Turkey.
