DocSend - a platform for secure exchange of documents and analytics. The service was launched in 2013, it supports all the main types of files and easily integrates with Google Drive, Box, Dropbox and OneDrive. Instead of using attachments, Docsend allows you to share protected links to them, their creator can track the actions taken on data (time and duration), as well as control access to them. The DocSend solution is used for fundraising, investor relations, sales, account management, team training and adaptation of new employees. DocSend supports integration with services such as Salesforce, IFTT, Egnyte, Zapier, Outreach, Groove, Apollo, Hubspot, Toutapp, etc. The DocSend has 17 thousand customers (by March 2021).

History

2021: Dropbox bought DocSend for $165 million

In early March 2021, Dropbox announced the acquisition of a platform for the safe exchange of documents. DocSend The transaction is estimated at $165 million.

Combined with the capabilities provided by the electronic signature provider HelloSign, which Dropbox acquired in 2019, the new deal will allow the company to create an "end-to-end" set of tools that will cover the entire range of document management services, including sharing and electronic signature.

Dropbox acquired DocSend for $165 million

About 50 DocSend employees will join Dropbox after the deal closes, which is due in the first quarter of 2021, subject to standard regulatory oversight.
