2024: Conclusion of a contract for 5.25 billion rubles for the expansion of the cemetery
The Moskapstroy company signed a contract worth 5.25 billion rubles for the construction of the third stage of the Domodedovo cemetery, located near the village of Istomikha in the south of the Moscow region.
According to RBC, the expansion of the Domodedovo cemetery is the most expensive project in the funeral services market in the Moscow region, and possibly in Russia. Judging by the materials on the public procurement website referred to by the publication, the previous expenses on the funeral services market were measured by the maximum of several hundred million rubles.
According to the terms of reference, the Domodedovo cemetery should be expanded by 36.1 hectares. The Moskapstroy company will have to organize an entrance zone, a burial and green protection zone on the new territory so that residents of the surrounding houses do not have a view of the cemetery. The company will also build a two-story administrative building (612 sq. m), a refectory (765 sq. m), a farewell hall (714 sq. m), as well as changing rooms for diggers, a checkpoint and other infrastructure. The works are designed for three years.
The owner of the funeral homes "Cranes" Ilya Boltunov, in a conversation with the publication, suggested that the large costs of this tender are associated with the construction of complex engineering communications and the construction of facilities on the territory of the necropolis usually costs more than the division into plots. According to Boltunov, such contests are rarely held. He also noted that the problem of lack of places in cemeteries is acute both in the Moscow region and throughout Russia. In Moscow and the Moscow region, they are trying to solve it in advance, planning possible extensions of necropolises, Boltunov said.
Moskapstroy belongs to the Moscow Construction Department. It is one of the largest general contractors in the city, which is engaged in the construction of residential and commercial real estate, engineering communications, healthcare facilities, education, culture and sports.[1]
