2024: Opening of the sanatorium after reconstruction for 2 billion rubles

On April 18, 2024, after reconstruction, a sanatorium of the Don health complex, located on the banks of the river of the same name, was opened near Voronezh. The Olympus Health group of companies, founded by financier Alexander Solovyov, has invested about 2 billion rubles in the renovation of the facility.

"Don" corresponds to a category of 4 stars. The sanatorium has 90 rooms of different classes - from standard to suite. There is a spa complex, swimming pool, sauna, hamam, restaurant, conference room, as well as landscaped park area. The total area of ​ ​ the territory is approximately 3.4 hectares. The annual tourist flow is estimated at 5-6 thousand people.

This large-scale project was implemented reliably and promptly. There used to be a number of obsolete buildings here. Now it is a modern center, including a wide range of medical and preventive services, a developed infrastructure, a well-maintained territory, - notes the interim governor of the Voronezh region Sergei Trukhachev.

The sanatorium will offer guests a wide range of general strengthening and therapeutic procedures. Basketball, tennis and traditional sports grounds are equipped in the park area, as well as gazebos. In addition, the sanatorium has its own access to the Don River. Dmitry Kunin, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of Olympus Health Group of Companies, noted that in the future it is planned to improve the coastal zone at the expense of the company.

The sanatorium has formed 150 permanent jobs, and about 50 more employees will be additionally involved in the tourist season. It is expected that the health complex will make a "tangible contribution" to the development of tourism infrastructure and potential of the Voronezh region, and will also become a "harmonious addition to the cluster of tourist development of the region."^[1]
