2017: Honeywell and Dover Energy Automation begin cooperation for acceleration of development of industrial Internet of Things

At the beginning of a year Honeywell and Dover Energy Automation Corporation announced the beginning of cooperation within the Honeywell Inspireprogramma Honeywell INspire program [1] The initiative assumes development of necessary production solutions, joint with customers, and is performed within the created Honeywell of an ecosystem of industrial Internet of Things (IIoT). A program task — increase in security, efficiency and reliability of transactions of customers from the energy sector.

The ecosystem of IIoT created by HPS is a crucial element of an initiative of Honeywell of implementation of the advanced digital technologies for production. Its purpose consists in helping producers to use IIoT for increased security, efficiency and reliability of transactions both at a single plant, and on all objects of the company.

Possibilities of Honeywell on consolidation and ensuring data protection and software development in combination with profound profile knowledge of Dover in the field of condition monitoring and optimization of operation of the equipment promote creation of an ecosystem of IIoT which should help customers to solve problems which were considered as unsolvable earlier.

Locating the large volume of the consolidated data, producers will be able to apply high-level methods of the analysis to receiving more detailed outputs, to scale these data as required to satisfy different requirements of management of separate objects or processes for scales of all enterprise and also to enjoy support of extensive community of experts in the field of monitoring and data analysis.

Notes

  1. integrates users and suppliers of technologies, including customers, equipment suppliers, licensors of technologies and experts of Honeywell who jointly work on the solution of a set of production tasks. Honeywell and its partners, including Dover, intend to use IIoT to help customers to minimize unplanned idle times and security risks, to increase a production yield and to optimize the strategy of supply chain management.
