2024: Service Launch
In mid-2024, a state service for analyzing failures on DownDetector.su sites began to operate in Russia, to which a number of large banks have already connected. This domestic analogue of the popular foreign service DownDetector.com designed to improve the quality of monitoring the availability of web resources and mobile applications in the Russian Federation.
According to the press service of VTB, the bank was the first in the financial market to conduct a successful pilot project using a new service. DownDetector.su allows you to track the availability of sites and applications based on provider data in more than 40 cities of Russia. The system is able to detect even those failures that are not directly related to problems with the IT infrastructure of banks, but negatively affect customer experience.
One of the key features of the service is the ability to collect data on problems from open sources, including the analysis of negative search queries, posts and comments on social networks. This allows you to get a more complete picture of user experience when interacting with banking services.
DownDetector showed an excellent result: the percentage of compliance of data on failures recorded by the bank's service and monitoring systems was 100%. |
During the three-month pilot, the working group monitored and recorded information about failures on a daily basis, including the nature of the sources, the time of identification and the number of complaints received. This analytics allowed the bank to get a more voluminous idea of the interaction of users with its services.
An important function of DownDetector.su is the ability to upload data on network failures, delays and user complaints for 2023. This opens up new possibilities not only for fixing situational failures, but also for identifying long-term trends and predicting potential problems.[1]
