Draper Fisher Jurvetson (DFJ) founded in 1985 by Tim Dreyper is the world leader of venture investment into the technology companies at initial and early stages of development. The headquarters of DFJ is in Silicon Valley (USA).

During the existence DFJ invested in about 500 companies, including Hotmail (Microsoft is purchased), Baidu, Skype (it is purchased by EBay), Overture (it is purchased by Yahoo), Feedburner (Google is purchased).

Offices DFJ are located in the USA, China and India. Draper Fisher Jurvetson integrates network of partner venture funds with representations more than in 33 cities of the world. The investment portfolio of funds includes over 400 projects in different sectors. Total assets of DFJ venture funds exceed 6 billion dollars.

Investments in Russia and the CIS countries

In 2005 Tim Dreyper together with the Ukrainian company "Tekhinvest" announced creation in Ukraine of venture investment fund DFJ Nexus. It was planned that the fund will be engaged in investment into the innovation projects of Ukraine and Russia at early stages of development. The initial size of fund was 50 million dollars.

In May, 2008 VTB and DFJ created the company of venture investments DFJ VTB Aurora for investments into the innovation industries of Russia.
