2021: Blocking of service in Russia

In the middle of January, 2021 the Dropmail service was blocked in Russia. Roskomnadzor upon the demand of the State Office of Public Prosecutor entered it in the register of the prohibited websites.

According to Roskomsvoboda, blocking of Dropmail "occurred within fight against pseudo-minings". At the same time the owner of service claims what to temporary addresses of mail of the letter can only be received.

Founders of service specified on the homepage that they were blocked without warning, and created a mirror of the Russian-language version of the project.

Roskomnadzor entered Dropmail service in the list of the prohibited websites

The representative of Dropmail at the forum NTC wrote that he did not receive notifications on blocking. He added that he cannot appeal against the decision of Roskomnadzor in court as is outside Russia, but reported that he sent the letter with the position to department.

Subject with letters on false minings - rather the tired illiterate nonsense. If to security officers bothered to react to anonymous letters / messages, then it is necessary just to cease to react to them. Single blocking of mail services will not solve a problem of anonymous letters from any point of view. However this active act of profanation (signed by the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation or his deputy) proceeds to this day, - the IT expert Philip Kulin commented on Roskomsvobode news about Dropmail blocking.

After that blocked also the Swiss service Protonmail which management agreed afterwards to cooperation with the Russian supervising department. Blocked also mail service of Scryptmail.[1]
