2024: Ex-head physician received 4 years in prison

On April 23, 2024, it became known that the Magas District Court of the Republic of Ingushetia sentenced in a criminal case against the former chief physician of the state budgetary health care institution "Dzheyrakhskaya District Hospital." He received a sentence for trying to bribe an FSB officer. The convict's name has not been released as of the sentencing date.

The prosecutor's office of Ingushetia reports that in October 2023, the defendant offered a bribe to an FSB officer in the amount of 2.5 million rubles for "not carrying out operational-search measures aimed at detecting the theft of budget funds in the institution." The transfer of money took place on November 8, 2023 under the control of law enforcement officers: the man was detained at the crime scene.

The head physician was found guilty under Part 3 of Art. 30, part 5 of Art. 291 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation - giving a bribe to an official for committing a knowingly illegal action (inaction), on an especially large scale. The court, taking into account the position of the state prosecutor, sentenced the guilty person to four years in prison with serving in a general regime correctional colony, with deprivation of the right to engage in activities related to the exercise of organizational, administrative and administrative powers in state and municipal bodies and institutions for a period of two years.[1]
