KFU Institute of Economics and Finance is one of the state economic universities in Russia. It not only provides higher education, but is also one of the centers in the field of economic science. The institute conducts research on fundamental areas and problems of the market economy, research results meet modern requirements and are used in economics, practical life, as well as in the educational process.
For 2018, the institute has undergraduate, master's, graduate and doctoral studies, as well as retraining of personnel with higher education in the specialties "Organization Management," "Finance and Credit," "Accounting, Analysis and Audit" and in the direction "Economics."

Since the fall of 2011, it has been part of Kazan Volga Federal University (KPFU).
1931
Kazan State Financial and Economic Institute was created in 1931 on the basis of the Faculty of Economics of Kazan State University named after V.I. Ulyanov-Lenin, later KGFEI began to bear the name of V.V. Kuibyshev.
