History

2021: Launch of a new plant for the production of electronic components in Obukhovo

In mid-September 2021, Macro EMS officially launched a new electronic components plant. It opened in the Obukhovo industrial zone.

The company will produce complex electronics, including modules for computer and server equipment, telecommunications and medical equipment. In particular, computer units, memory modules, boards and other digital equipment will be created there. The created electronics will be used in the field of telecommunications and medicine, industrial automation, the assembly of banking terminals, as well as gas and water meters. It is assumed that the plant's capacity will be able to meet the increased demand for electronics.

In St. Petersburg, the launch of a plant for the production of electronic components for 1 billion rubles

Investments in the creation of a new Macro Group site at the time of its launch exceeded 600 million rubles. In the future, the total volume of investments will reach 1 billion rubles. The company's project was supported by the federal Industrial Development Fund, which allocated 270 million rubles for the purchase of equipment.

At start-up, the plant has 4 surface mounting lines with a total capacity of almost 500,000 components per hour. The plant is also equipped with soldering units with a wave of solder and selective soldering. Components that cannot be installed automatically are installed in a manual installation area equipped with 80 "smart" workstations. The area of ​ ​ the plant's premises allows in the future to expand the production capabilities to 5 surface installation lines and up to 130 "smart" manual installation workplaces.

The new Macro EMS plant was built in a year. He was given the status of a regional investment project, which provides for property and income tax benefits for enterprises.[1]
