2025: Sale of Sigma Product Analytics Platform to Avito Tech
Avito Tech, a subsidiary of Avito, acquired the Sigma product analytics platform from EXPF in order to strengthen the position of its own Trisigma solution and occupy a significant share in the Russian digital analytics market. This became known in early July 2025.
According to Kommersant, the amount of the transaction was not disclosed, but the representative of Avito Tech said that it was in the process of closing. As part of the transaction, Avito Tech acquires the EXPF Sigma technology solution and gains access to the EXPF client base in this area. The company is also joined by a team of creators of the Sigma platform. It is planned to integrate the acquired platform with Trisigma's own solution.
AvitoThe company estimates the Russian market for product analytics at ₽1,5 billion. According to Atomic Capital, the global product analytics market was $12.46 billion in 2024, with growth forecast to $14.89 billion in 2025. This is a relatively new and rapidly growing segment, where high growth rates can persist for three to five years.
Avito Tech LLC is a subsidiary IT structure of the Avito ad service, which is 100% owned by it. The company is engaged in the development of digital solutions and analytics. The Trisigma platform is used in e-commerce, banking and streaming services to test product hypotheses.
EXPF was founded in 2022 and is owned by two individuals at 50% each. The company specializes in the development of analytical solutions for business. The acquisition will allow Avito Tech to expand its product line and strengthen its presence in the product analytics market.
Atomic Capital CEO Alexander Zaytsev noted that the purchase of EXPF Sigma saves Avito time on development and IT resources, and also gives access to a more massive target audience. The company's own product is aimed at large businesses, while the acquired solution can reach a wider segment of customers.[1]
