Launch in the Moscow region for ₽500 million production of medical devices for laboratories

In the Moscow region, a new production workshop for the production of medical devices for laboratories with an investment of almost ₽500 million was put into operation. The sixth production facility of the ECOlab company in Elektrogorsk specializes in the production of diagnostic drugs and test systems for laboratory research. This was announced on August 22, 2025 by the Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Investments, Industry and Science of the Moscow Region Ekaterina Zinovieva.

According to the press service of the department, the expansion of pharmaceutical production ensured the creation of more than 50 new jobs at the enterprise. The new workshop will be an addition to the existing production base of the company, which already produces a wide range of medical products.

Ekaterina Zinovieva noted that the launch of the next production facility is part of a large-scale investment project of the ECOlab company. According to her, the company continues to increase the capacity for the production of medicines and medical products for the needs of Russian healthcare.

JSC "ECOlab" specializes in the production of diagnostic preparations, enzyme immunosorbent test systems and diagnostic kits for laboratory diagnosis of diseases of non-infectious pathology. The company's products are used for in vitro research in medical institutions and laboratories.

The production line of the enterprise includes kits for immunological and biochemical research, as well as drugs of various forms of production. The company has mastered the production of gels and capsules, expanding opportunities to meet the needs of medical organizations. The increase in production capacity will allow the company to double the volume of production.[1]

Completion of the construction of the plant for ₽297 million

The Main Directorate of State Construction Supervision of the Moscow Region at the end of January 2025 announced the completion of the construction of a new production and warehouse complex of the ECOlab company in Elektrogorsk worth ₽297 million, where it is planned to produce 405 million units of medical products annually.

According to the Unified Information and Analytical Service, a two-story building with an area of ​ ​ 4.5 thousand square meters. m will become the sixth in the territory of the enterprise. The start of construction dates from July 2022, and the completion of all work is scheduled for the first quarter of 2025.

A new plant for the production of test systems for medical laboratories was built in the Moscow region for ₽297 million

The new complex will establish the production of various medical drugs, including eye gels and creams. The project is being implemented with the support of the Construction Assistance Center under the Government of the Moscow Region.

JSC "ECOlab" specializes in the production of enzyme immunosorbent test systems and medical diagnostic kits for detecting infectious and non-infectious pathologies. The company produces more than 400 products, including biochemical research kits and drugs.

Currently, the company supplies its products to most clinical diagnostic laboratories in Russia, and also exports to six countries: Belarus, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Moldova, Armenia and Azerbaijan.

The project is aimed at strengthening the independence of the Russian health care system from imported supplies of diagnostic equipment and consumables. The new complex is equipped with modern equipment to ensure high quality of products.

Inspectors of Glavgosstroynadzor regularly monitor compliance with construction standards and safety requirements at all stages of construction of the facility. The expansion of production capacities will increase the volume of production of medical diagnostic kits and test systems in demand in laboratory diagnostics.[2]
