2019: The license agreement with GE Grid Solutions

GE and JSC VO Elektroapparat continue to expand a product line of the solutions for power supply networks localized in Russia using key components of the Russian suppliers

On May 28, 2019 within cooperation in localization of solutions for an electric grid of Russia, GE Grid Solutions there is a division of GE on development, production and sale of the equipment for power networks, and JSC VO Elektroapparat - one of the Russian producers of the high-voltage equipment for the enterprises of power, signed the license agreement concerning release at capacities of the Russian partner of tank switches of 220 kV for distributors with air insulation. It is planned that a number of key components of this equipment will be delivered by the Russian enterprises. The agreement expands a line of the equipment released on GE technology at the JSC VO Elektroapparat plant in St. Petersburg. The start of new production is planned for fall of 2019. It is going to release more than 50 sets a year.

GE and Elektroapparat expand a product line of solutions for power supply networks

Based on local production capacities of JSC VO Elektroapparat since 2018 production of a number of models of a power equipment of GE - high-voltage gas-insulated kolonkovy circuit-breakers on tension of 220, 330 and 500 kV is already conducted. Besides, in 2018 partners agreed about localization in Russia of an equipment line on automation of substations – devices of relay protection (RZA) and APCS. In particular, this equipment includes cabinets of relay protection and automatic equipment based on RZA terminals of the MiCOM series and the APCS complexes of substations based on the DS Agile system.

On objects of an electric grid of Russia more than 60 sets of the GL brand switches made in St. Petersburg, the majority from which of 500 kV, are already delivered. More than 20 sets of switches are already contracted and waits for the queue on assembly and delivery.

Tank (gas-insulated) switches are the switching equipment intended for inclusion and shutdown of power high-voltage chains. As Wednesday for clearing of an electric arc in them it is used elegaz. Tank switches have the increased reliability even in extreme conditions, such as low temperatures, highly active seismic countries, areas with the high level of air pollution or the aggressive external environment. In power supply systems of the different countries more than 25 thousand tank GE switches for different classes of tension are operated, from them more than 800 three-phase sets are set in Russia.

Localization of a wide line of high-voltage products – in the long term tension class up to 750 kV – and digital solutions will allow GE and Elektroapparat to approach in a complex project implementation on upgrade and automation of objects of the Russian power and power supply systems of the enterprises and also to provide additional benefits to clients due to cost reduction on logistics and increases in efficiency of production processes.
