FAS approved the sale of the St. Petersburg manufacturer of electrical equipment "Electropult"

According to the Kommersant newspaper, within the framework of the agreement, Trucks acquires 73.9% of the voting shares of the Electropult enterprise. There is no information on the estimated amount of the transaction as of April 16, 2024. After the transaction, Trucks will become the owner of 98.5% of the voting shares of St. Petersburg production.

The head of the analytical department of AMarkets Artem Deyev believes that Trucks acquired the Electropult plant for the sake of additional capacity - in order to scale its own production. In addition, Trucks can expand into the market of electrical equipment and control systems. For Elektropult, the deal, according to Mikhail Burmistrov, general director of the Infoline-Analytics agency, may be a necessary measure associated with a high debt burden and the need to improve performance. At the end of 2023, Electropult suffered net losses in the amount of 368.2 million rubles.[2]
