2014: "ElTech SPb" was displaid by a part of design capacities of independent business

In November, 2014 the ElTech SPb engineering company announced diversification of project activity. In 2014 the decision to concentrate activity of the company on implementation of large-scale projects for large contractors, to strengthen the direction of engineering practice on EPCM model, to strengthen positions in the markets of electronics and nanotech industry, traditional for the company, and to expand activities for creation and upgrade of the enterprises in the industries machine and instrument making was made. For development of the directions with smaller requirements to technological effectiveness of production it was decided to display a part of design capacities of independent business. Creation of ElTech SPb Eltekh Proyekt subsidiary company turned out to be consequence of restructuring ^[1].

The main activity of ElTech SPb company — implementation of complex technology difficult projects in the knowledge-intensive industries on EPCM engineering model. The organization structure of the company is created under accomplishment of complete amount of works on complex projects. So, study of a technology part of projects, interaction with universities and sources of technologies are performed by the innovation projects department. Departments of design and construction implement all complex of project and construction works, provide solutions on creation of the systems of production and engineering infrastructure. The technology department performs selection, installation and a commissioning of the equipment and all production line. The working group headed by the chief engineer is responsible for management of each specific project.

Each of structure-forming departments, in turn, is divided into a number of divisions which interaction, as well as activity of all auxiliary departments, is also regulated under accomplishment of large contracts. This structure showed the efficiency when implementing difficult projects, but at small amounts of works in the conditions of reduction of the actual labor costs overheads remain at the previous level, and the flexibility of business process decreases, noted in the company. Creation Eltekh Proyekt allowed to focus on total package procurement contracts without prejudice to projects, small, simpler on level of technological effectiveness. At the same time, a task of the new company is not only rapid response to market requests, but also search and entry into the new markets among which the priority is given to the sphere of medicine, pharmacology, biotechnologies, instrument making, told in ElTech SPb.

"It makes sense to perform transition to EPCM engineering model in Russia gradually, offering customers at choice different forms of interaction. According to researches of Institute of building industry of the USA, only about 14% of contracts in the States are signed according to the scheme, 'traditional' for Russia, when the customer himself interacts with each contractor. Such form of interaction is most relevant for areas from a smaller technology component or small industrial facilities. Implementation of model, more usual for the Russian market, in separate company, but under the general brand of ElTech SPb will be more rational in terms of economic and operating activities" — the CEO of Eltekh Proyekt company Sergey Vishnevsky explained.

"Before project works detailed analysis of tasks is carried out, the project team headed by the chief engineer is fixed, all potential 'weak' places of the project to the insufficient attention at which stage of planning can become the reason of accumulation of critical errors during development of project solutions come to light" — Sergey Vishnevsky specified.

The full range of project works enters competences of the new company, including: development of outline, project and working documentation; the preproject help to the customer (collecting of initial data, preparation of the feasibility statement, budgeting, development of technical specifications on accomplishment of project works); audit of the engineering systems and solutions; full range of works on inspections and researches; designer's service and technical maintenance; technical support of the developed documentation in state. to examination; services of the general designer.

Relying on the accumulated experience and competences of the head company and also algorithms of the organization of project activity acquired for years, Eltekh Proyekt will provide to the customers due quality and will take charge of for the assumed liabilities.
