In May, 2011 at the forum EMC World 2011 the company showed the Fibre Channel adapter with high-speed performance of 16 Gbps, emergence of 32-gigabit adapters is planned for 2013. The Emulex XE201 I/O Controller controller which is the general platform for support of technologies Fibre Channel, Fibre Channel over Ethernet, 10 Gigabit Ethernet or 40 Gigabit Ethernet was presented at the Interop exhibition in Las Vegas.

Emulex purchased ServerEngines company with which cooperation in technology 10 Gigabit Ethernet intended for the converged networks was conducted before. Works on reduction in cost of the converged communications based on "copper" technology 10GBaseT will be entered. The release of 40-gigabit network adapters is expected in 2012-2013.

One of sales channels of the products Emulex are OEM agreements with leading manufacturers of servers and the systems of a hraneneniye among which there are Bull, Cisco, Dell, EMC, Fujitsu Technology Solutions and other not less known companies.

Along with it there is a traditional partner channel, work of the companies is stimulated in it with a number of programs, including New Emulex Connect Partner Program. Now in our country this channel will form at the expense of resellers DSCon to which as promise in Emulex, all privileges of the partner companies will be provided.

In 2010 financial year the sales volume of Emulex reached 399 million dollars. The considerable part of income of the company was brought by adapters for Fibre Channel networks, the converged network adapters, cards of network interfaces, mezzanine maps for lezviyny servers, dedicated integrated microcircuits, peripheral control units.

The strategy of technology development of Emulex is defined for three next years by architecture of Emulex Connect Architecture which, considers today's and tomorrow's needs of the market for network technologies. Development of cloud computing, virtualization of network solutions, considerable growth of need for the capacity of storage systems and also distribution of the converged network technologies became the main incentive motives during creation of architecture.
