Entrust

Solutions of Entrust on creation of a public key infrastructure of PKI are used for accomplishment of important tasks of security in different government institutions of the USA, including State Department and the Ministry of Finance. The PKI service from Entrust is also approved by management of Services of general purpose of the USA (U.S. General Services Administration, GSA) as SSP (Shared Service Provider) for use in state agencies. Besides, deployment of infrastructure of PKI is performed in states Illinois, Virginia, the ministries of power and justice, NASA and also in FBI and other structures.

The first public key infrastructure from Entrust was released in 1994 and became the first PKI in the world brought into commercial operation.

2012

Main objectives and tasks of Entrust company in 2012 are a further improvement of the powerful platform of authentication, solutions on protection against fraud, development of partnership with world leaders in the field of data security and the movement in the direction of protection of mobile devices and "cloud" calculations.

2011

The vendor set a record by the number of the placed orders for the amount of 120 million dollars. The majority from the total number of revenues of Entrust is made now by subscriptions for solutions of vendor. Order amount on products of Entrust company grew by 21%, by subscriptions – for 41%. Entrust explains the record growth of number of orders with expansion and development of a product line in personal data protection, including the platform of authentication Entrust IdentityGuard, SSL of certificates and different services.

The amount of income from a subscription to products is more than 68% in a total amount of orders and 63% in total sales of Entrust now. This income is reached thanks to high quality of products of Entrust, an excellent command of sales department and high professionalism of a support service. Due to the increase in demand for the solutions Entrust IdentityGuard and Entrust TransactionGuard of sale of these products, first of all, for large commercial enterprises, the public and financial institutions increased in 2011 by 20%.

History

2014: Datacard Group and Entrust announced rebranding

On November 4, 2014 at the CARTES Secure Connexions 2014 exhibition in Paris Datacard Group and Entrust announced a new name of the united company - Entrust Datacard, and provided a new logo and corporate style. It occurred nearly a year later after acquisition of Datacard Group of Entrust company. In this connection, Todd Wilkinson, the president and the CEO, announced that the new corporate brand saves the capital and heritage of both companies and also commitment to their corporate values.

The new company name allows to save a product portfolio of both brands – and Datacard and Entrust. In addition to already existing offers, the united company develops new solutions for end users and the corporate sector based on Datacard and Entrust technologies.
