2023: Accountant charged with embezzlement of money
The prosecutor's office of the Leninsky district of Magnitogorsk approved the indictment in a criminal case against a local resident accused under Part 3 of Art. 160 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (misappropriation and embezzlement). The press service of the prosecutor's office of the Chelyabinsk region announced this on May 4, 2023.
According to the investigation, the accused in 2021, being an accountant of the branch of the Joint-Stock Company "Center for Family Medicine" in Magnitogorsk, using her official position, stole the organization's funds under the guise of returning funds to customers for allegedly not provided medical services, the press service of the regional prosecutor's office said.
Thus, the accused, reliably knowing that the client paid in full for the medical services rendered in the amount of over 65 thousand rubles, prepared documents for the return of funds totaling 42 thousand rubles. She transferred the stolen funds through the bank terminal from the branch's current account to her bank card. Similarly, she stole funds from seven more clients, causing the organization material damage totaling over 168 thousand rubles.
During the investigation, the accused compensated for the caused material damage in full. The criminal case was sent to the Leninsky District Court of Magnitogorsk for consideration on the merits. The name of the accused was not disclosed by May 4, 2023.
The branch of the Center for Family Medicine in Magnitogorsk is a specialized clinic for the treatment of infertility by methods of assisted reproductive technologies.[1]
