2024: Purchase of Rigla pharmacy chain

The Rigla pharmacy chain has completed the acquisition of the assets of the Feola pharmacy chain near Moscow and the Saratov Farmsklad. This became known in August 2024.

Rigla "acquired the Feola pharmacy chain, which manages 13 pharmacies in Elektrostal, Moscow Region, as well as the Pharmsklad network, consisting of 104 pharmacy institutions in the Saratov Region. Olga Ferova, the beneficiary of Theopharm, registered the company in 2013.

The owner of the Pharmsklad network is Dmitry Tarasov, who controls several legal entities registered in Saratov. As of January 1, 2024, Farmsklad Group of Companies ranked 94th in the ranking of TOP200 Pharmacy Chains of Russia.

Rigla representatives have not yet commented on the deal, but domestic pharmaceutical manufacturers are already aware of the expansion of the network. According to one of the sources, the owner of the Pharmsklad chain Dmitry Tarasov has been looking for a buyer for his network over the past two years.

The purchase of the Feola and Farmsklad chains followed the recent acquisition by Rigla of the assets of the Nizhny Novgorod pharmacy chain operating under the Farmani and Pharmacy brands. This deal also strengthened the company's position in Central Russia. At the beginning of 2024, the Nizhny Novgorod chain consisted of 379 pharmacies. It ranks 29th in the ranking of "TOP200 pharmacy chains in Russia."

Earlier, in 2023, Rigla conducted several other transactions, including the purchase of the Trick Pharma chain in Krasnodar and the Primorsky Pharm network, consisting of 31 pharmacies. These transactions, like the acquisitions in St. Petersburg in early 2024, demonstrate the company's active strategy for mergers and acquisitions.^[1]
