2018: The agreement on creation of coproduction in Uzbekistan

On July 26, 2018 it was announced that in Uzbekistan medicines will make for treatment of oncological diseases and a product for a hemodialysis. Such agreement was reached during the meeting of the Minister of Health of Uzbekistan Alisher Shadmanov with the CEO of Belfarmprom holding Valery Shevruk and with participation of authoritative specialists druggists of Belarus.

The parties agreed about cooperation for the organization in Uzbekistan of the joint venture specializing in production of the modern medications applied in oncology.

One more agreement reached during the visit of representatives of the pharmaceutical industry of Belarus — the joint project in production of products for a hemodialysis and supplies.

In Belarus the only producer of this sort of products — borisovsky Frebor. Until recently the enterprise was positioned as the only producer of such products and in the territory of the CIS countries[1].

2015: Fresenius leaves the joint venture

Such situation ceased suit the German side, and the Fresenius Medical Care company left the joint venture. After 2015 the enterprise became unitary with an absolute share of JSC Borisovsky Plant of Medications in authorized capital.

2010: Fresenius is not possible to increase a share to control

Later there was a question of increase in a share of Fresenius up to a controlling stake. For this purpose the Belarusian authorities even created interdepartmental group. But as a result of the party did not meet in assessment of assets of the joint venture, and distribution of shares in it did not change.

While the enterprise was joint, it two codirectors from the Belarusian and German side managed. The charter of JV Frebor provided presence of two equal directors, and the Belarusian director knew economic problems, and German — technical.

After unfortunate attempt purchase a controlling stake in JV Frebor Fresenius Medical Car began to curtail the presence in Borisov and after 2010 did not expose the codirector. The citizen of Canada Hedgehogs Yakimovich was the last famous codirector from the German side.

Thus, control of the production technology and quality of the made products on borisovsky Frebor completely passed to Belarusians.

2009: Commissioning of the 2nd sterilizing camera

In 2009 commissioning of the 2nd sterilizing camera took place.

1993: Start of production of the UMS medical transfusion and infusional systems

In 1993 the manufacturing techniques of the UMS universal medical transfusion and infusional systems and other import-substituting products are implemented.

1992: Start of production based on the Borisovsky plant of medical medicines

The joint venture with Fresenius Medical Care was called began to work in 1992 based on the Borisovsky plant of medical medicines.

In May of this year the production capacities based on unique FMC technologies and expected release of 2 million dialyzers and 2 million sets of krovoprovodyashchy trunks a year were put into operation.

Production was focused on export. Nearly 90% of products originally intended for the German market. The German investor of Fresenius Medical Care owns a number of the plants in other countries, it also possesses large world network of dialysis clinics. Products from Borisov were delivered for this network.

1989: Creation of JV Frebor, Belarusians have 78.2% of stocks

The manufacturing unitary enterprise "Frebor" is created on December 29, 1989 as the Belarusian-German JV Frezenius-Borisov-Dializotekhnik by agreement between the government of the Soviet Union and the German firm Fresenius Medical Care (FMC) - the world leader in the field of dialysis.

The Borisovsky plant became the core shareholder of JV Frebor, having received in it the blocking packet in the form of 78.2% of stocks. Frezenius then got 21.8% of stocks.

1988: The agreement on transfer in the USSR of the Fresenius plant on production of haemo dialyzers

In 1988 when between the government of the USSR and the German company Fresenius Medical Care the agreement on construction of the plant on production of haemo dialyzers — or the devices "artificial kidney" and also the systems of blood transfusion was signed. The German firm decided to transfer to the USSR one of the plants of Germany for the purpose of reduction in cost of the products.

Under the agreement of 1988 it was going to create in the territory of BSSR of that time the modern production expected release of 2 million dialyzers a year.
