The Government of Kazakhstan represented by the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Aerospace Industry takes an active part in the implementation of the project. The agency ensures the integration of data centers into the state digital ecosystem, as well as creates regulatory conditions for the development of cloud technologies and high-performance computing (HPC).

The creation of such centers will allow Kazakhstan to attract international technology giants, including Microsoft, Google and Amazon, as well as companies working with big data and machine learning.

The project will become a driver of the development of the digital economy of Kazakhstan, creating highly paid jobs and ensuring the technological independence of the country. It is expected that the implementation of the project will help Kazakhstan significantly increase the export of IT services, expand the presence of local IT companies in international markets and strengthen its role in global digital ecosystems.

The launch of the first stage of data centers is scheduled for 2027, and the full deployment of the data center is planned to be completed by 2030. Once fully operational, the complex will become the largest data center in Central Asia.[1]
