2023: Rota Group bought 45% Globus Gurme
Rota-Polka LLC, part of the Rota Group of Companies founded by State Duma deputy Dmitry Sablin, became the owner of 45% in the parent company of the Globus Gourmet network, Skolkovo Paradise LLC. The remaining 55% belongs to the structure of the Sindika holding, created by Senator Arsen Kanokov. This became known at the end of January 2023.
According to the Kommersant newspaper, the corresponding changes in the Unified State Register of Legal Entities (Unified State Register of Legal Entities) are reflected at the end of 2022. The financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Sindika President Oleg Eskindarov only noted that Rota is a "long-time partner" of the holding.
Rota manages real estate, hotel business, food production. In the Moscow region, Rota-Agro produces up to 500 kg of cheeses per day and plans to build a plant with a daily capacity of 5 tons of cheeses. Senior analyst at Gazprombank Marat Ibragimov believes that Rota's participation in Globus Gurme may be due to the group's agribusiness, which can provide the network with part of the range of dairy products and vegetables.
According to Marina Malakhatko, head of the retail department of the consulting company Core.XP, the Globus Gourmet network has not had a clear development strategy in recent years. In 2022, Sindika announced plans to expand the chain by no more than five stores annually.
Marat Ibragimov says that Globus Gourmet has a strong brand and a loyal base of wealthy customers, on the basis of which you can continue to develop, possibly with a focus on premium delivery. Marina Malakhatko believes that Globus Gourmet should rely on a unique assortment with a larger share of long-term storage products, the fresh category, and also abandon too large premises.[1]

Novikov and Pinsky remained, but became minority shareholders, - added Solomatin. |
