2025: Resort Construction
In Crimea, the construction of the Golden Sands resort complex worth ₽60 billion will begin. The launch of the project in early March 2025 was announced by the head of the republic, Sergei Aksenov. The project will occupy an area of 226 hectares between Saki and Yevpatoria. Preparatory work and clarification of details have already been completed.
According to RIA Novosti, the project will be implemented on behalf of Russian President Vladimir Putin with the support of the state and private investors. The head of Crimea, Sergei Aksenov, stressed that revenues from the resort complex will also go to the republican budget.
For the new complex, it is planned to reconstruct the highway with a length of over 18 kilometers. The existing road running along the coast will be moved to create a large boardwalk area. The project should be completed by the end of 2029.
The large-scale recreational project "Golden Sands" is being built as part of the new federal project "Five Seas and Lake Baikal." Earlier it was reported that the area of the resort will be more than 100 hectares, and the resort itself will unite two tourist clusters - the cities of Saki and Yevpatoria.
To receive and accommodate vacationers in the resort, it is planned to build 17 hotels of category three, four and five stars for 4.5 thousand rooms with all the accompanying tourist infrastructure. The resort's infrastructure will include sports, entertainment, educational facilities and public spaces.
As a result of the project, it is planned to create 1.5 thousand new jobs, which will have a positive effect on the economic development of the region and the level of employment of the local population.
In addition to the "Golden Sands," within the framework of the project "Five Seas and Lake Baikal" in Saki, it is also planned to build the complex "Crimean Riviera" on an area of 13 hectares. These projects are part of the state program "Tourism Development," according to which Crimea and eight other regions of Russia will receive additional support from the federal budget.[1]
