2022: Investing 60 million rubles in the construction of charging stations for electric vehicles
On April 21, 2022, Green Drive, the former president of AFC, Andrei Dubovskova, announced the investment of 60 million rubles in the construction of charging stations for electric vehicles along the federal highway M-4 Don. By the end of 2022, it is planned to place about 20 fast installations from Sochi to Moscow.
On April 21, 2022, the leadership of the Krasnodar Territory and Green Drive entered into an agreement on the installation of at least 8 electric charging stations in the region by the end of the year. They will appear in Krasnodar, Sochi, Tuaps, Anap, Novorossiysk and Temryuk district. The capacity of the facilities will be at least 149 kW, they will be equipped with three DC connectors and will provide the ability to charge at least two cars at a time.
The company, in turn, expects to receive subsidies from the federal budget for reimbursement of up to 60% of the costs of creating electric charging infrastructure, as well as for compensation of up to 30% of the costs of technological connection to power grids.
It is noted that plans for the development of electric mobility in the Russian Federation were embodied in a two-stage concept for the development of the production and use of electric road transport until 2030, which was published in the summer of 2021.
Its first stage involves the production of 25 thousand electric cars in the Russian Federation by 2024 and the launch of at least 9.4 thousand charging stations for them, a third of which are fast charging stations that feed the car in less than an hour. At the second stage, it is planned to increase the share of electric vehicles produced in the country to 10% of the total volume, launch traction batteries, cathode and anode materials into local production, as well as establish the operation of 72 thousand charges, 40% of which will be fast.[1]
