2024: Sale of Russian plant to Istratech Group

On February 5, 2024, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed an order that allowed Istratech Group to buy the Grundfos pump manufacturer. It follows from the document that the decision was made in accordance with the presidential decree on the application of economic measures in connection with the unfriendly actions of some foreign states.

Financial and other parameters of the transaction are not disclosed. It is known that we are talking about the sale of the Grundfos enterprise, located in Istra near Moscow. It produced vertical, centrifugal, cantilever-monoblock pumps with variable-frequency motors, water disposal pumps, dosing stations, pressurization and fire extinguishing units, and control systems.

Istratech Group buys Grundfos pump manufacturer plant

According to Kontur. Fokus, ISTRATECH Group LLC was registered on December 27, 2022 in the village of Leshkovo, Istra District, Moscow Region. The main activity is the production of pumps and compressors. Authorized capital - 100 thousand rubles. The co-owners of the company are its CEO Anatoly Slobodinsky (60%) and Inna Marenkova (40%). 2022: Announcement of plans to close business in Russia and Belarus

Danish pump manufacturer Grundfos will close its business in Russia and Belarus. The decision was made against the background of EU sanctions imposed against Russia after the start of a special operation in Ukraine. The company announced this at the end of August 2023. Then Grundfos noted that the closure of business in Russia and Belarus would cost the company 851 million Danish crowns ($114.14 million).

Grundfos suspended its activities in Russia on March 3, 2022, after the start of a special military operation in Ukraine on February 24. Since then, the company has stopped accepting orders from Russian customers and delivering them to the territory of Russia. At the same time, Grundfos assured that it continued to support employees, as well as keeping its offices and plant ready to reopen when the "situation allows."

2019

In 2019, Grundfos announced plans in the next five years plans to invest €35 million in the development of the Russian market. Then the company said that first of all it is planned to improve the Grundfos Istra plant. Its cost in 2019 was estimated at 19 billion rubles.
