2025: Using a Robotic Complex to Apply Road Markings

In April 2025, the Krasnoyarsk Territory Highway Administration (KrUDor) announced the first experience in Russia in using a robotic complex to apply road markings in the region. Innovative equipment is already used on the roads of the Krasnoyarsk agglomeration and highways with a high accident rate.

The new technology allows you to reduce the time for applying road markings by 10 times. Deputy Head of KrUDor Yevgeny Mikhalev noted that now one person is enough to carry out work on figure markings instead of a team of three specialists, as it was before.

In the
Krasnoyarsk Territory, they began to apply fresh road markings

The robotic complex, developed and created by the contractor BRIZ Center LLC, is able to accurately reproduce the picture sent for printing on the road and repeat the markup that has already been applied. The system is especially effective in creating figured markings - various arrows, inscriptions, images and duplication of road signs.

Within the framework of the current season, it is planned to apply about 521 thousand meters of markings at the facilities of the national project "Infrastructure for Life" under repair and update the markings on another 5500 km of regional routes due to the current content. Additionally, 20 thousand square meters of figure markings will be applied.

Work on updating road markings has already been completed on several highways in the region: Elite - Areyskoye - Kacha station, entrance to Sukhobuzimsky, entrance to the Buzim recreation center, Magansk - Verkhnyaya Bazaikha, Voznesenka - Lopatino, Uyar - Zaozerny, Zaozerny - Borodino, Zaozerny - Aginskoye, Zaozerny - KPP, Pervomansk - Tertezha, Malaya Kamarchaga

The robotic complex is already working at the entrance to, Krasnoyarsk Airport on the roads Krasnoyarsk -, Zheleznogorsk as well as on the Sayany highway in the Minusinsk and Mansky districts.[1]
