2020: Closing offices in Kazan and St. Petersburg

In November 2020, it became known that Turkish Ishbank closes its points in Russian cities - it refuses offices in Kazan (December 25, 2020) and St. Petersburg (January 22, 2021). The bank only has an office in Moscow.

2019: Cooperation with Yandex.Cash in the field of payment for online purchases

On May 30, 2019, Yandex announced that millions of Russians will be able to pay for purchases in rubles on tourist online sites in Turkey. This became possible thanks to the cooperation of Yandex.Cash and the Turkish bank Isbank. In Turkey, in May 2019, more than 10,000 Internet sites work with him. In September 2011, the name "Sofia" changed to "Ishbank."

2010: Start of negotiations on the sale of the bank to the Turks

1994-1998

Created in June 1994 under the name "Sofia," corporatized at the end of 1998. The main shareholders were Balakovorezinotechnika OJSC (a manufacturer of rubber and plastic products, vibration and noise insulation materials for the automotive industry) and the Swiss financial company Credit du Rhone S. A. A little later, Nikolai Shutov, chairman of the board of directors of Balakovorezinotechnika, became the majority shareholder of the credit institution.
