Technopark "Idea" provides services for the organization and development of innovative business, which are aimed at residents of the technopark, as well as at individuals and legal entities - winners of programs and competitions held in the republic with the participation of the technopark.

2002-2004

The decision to create science and technology park Idea was made by a resolution Cabinet of Ministers of Tatarstan in 2002, and he began his work in February 2004. The technopark includes a business incubator, an innovation and technological center and a nanotechnology center, as well as a business park.

"Idea" aims to build a system for the commercialization of knowledge-intensive ideas. To do this, the technology park provides resident companies with the necessary support at all stages of the innovation cycle of the project and promotes design, development and research work. Idea interacts between developers, the industrial sector and investors.

The technopark "Idea" notes that, "unlike many such structures of Russia," their structure is commercial and builds its interaction with partners on such a basis.

2014

According to the Idea Technopark for January 2014, 108 companies with a total number of employees of about 1900 people and an average salary of about 30,000 rubles were localized on its territory. (which is 12% higher than the average republican).

Over 10 years of Idea's work, resident companies on its site have created over 7,000 jobs and localized more than 450 resident companies. According to the technology park, in 2010 it fully paid off for the republic in terms of invested investments. With the participation of "Ideas" in Tatarstan, federal projects are being implemented: a technopark in the field of high technologies, a federal business incubator, a nanotechnology center, and a technopolis "Himgrad."

In January 2014, the Idea Technopark announced its entry into the Top 15 best European business innovation centers, which was determined by the European Business & Innovation Center Network (EBN), an international non-profit association that includes more than 150 business innovation centers: business incubators, innovation and technology centers, technology parks, technopolises and other similar organizations in 14 countries of the world.

According to the leadership of the technopark "Idea," such a result was achieved "thanks to the support of partners and the government of the republic, the coordinated work of the team of technopark specialists and new and popular ideas of residents."

Among the other best technology parks according to EBN - Atlanpole (Fancia), Berytech (Lebanon), Gate Garching (Germany), Technoport (Luxembourg), Barcelona Activa (Spain), BIC Lazio (Italy), Ideon Innovation (Sweden), Hermia (Finland ), Instituto Pedro Nunes (Portugal), University East London (UK), WESTBIC (Ireland), Innotek (Belgium), South Moravia BIC (Czech Republic). In addition, the Top 15 also has a business innovation platform in Taiwan.
