History
2016: the agreement with Fixicles
At the beginning of 2016 Indigo Kids signed the agreement with other popular brand – Fixicles. On November 23, 2016 there was the first application Fiksiki Tamagochi and animated films.
The cost of Indigo Kids company is estimated at $3 million (as of fall of 2016). By the end of 2017 owners are going to increase it three times – to $10 million, Ivan Shkvarun tells.
Basic versions of games free. Indigo Kids uses two main methods of monetization: advertizing and built-in purchases. According to the company, advertizing brings to about 70-90% of income (depends on the application, the country, an advertizing format (a banner, video, etc.), advantages of IAP, the platform), the built-in purchases – other share.
Successful strategy when the studio cooperates with already popular brand, is going to continue. The company conducts negotiations with Dzhinglikami and Smeshariki, considers also foreign brands – "Peppa Pig", Robocar Polly, "Charlotte Zemlyanichka", etc.
2015: success in the market
At the beginning of 2015 the development director Technoserv Consulting Ivan Shkvarun became the co-investor of the project.
Cooperation with the popular brand "Masha and Bear" bore fruits - games do not leave TOPS of Google Play and became world best-sellers. In a year a game is downloaded by more than 20 million users. The application is popular in Russia, in the USA, in Italy, in Mexico, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia.
The game "Masha and Bear" entered a selection "The best games of 2015" according to Google Play.
2014: beginning of cooperation with "Masha and Bear"
Till 2014 it was difficult to Indigo Kids studio to survive in the difficult market of games for children: promotion required enormous costs, Timofey Rakin tells.[1]
Everything changed in 2014. Then founders of studio got acquainted with representatives of the untwisted Masha and Bear brand. They managed to agree about cooperation on a condition "revenue in half". From this point the known and popular brand became the main engine of development of studio.
2012: creation of the company
The studio exists since 2012, on its creation of founders their children pushed: there was a wish to help them to select the correct applications, if all of them are equally not indifferent to gadgets. "We wanted that, playing games, they developed and studied therefore we also went to gamedev", – one of representatives of the company tells.[2]
In Indigo Kids portfolio - applications on Russian, mathematics and geography, on development of IQ, including a game in a technique of the Italian teacher Maria Montessori.
