According to the mash.ru resource, numerous complaints are received from owners of Infinix smartphones related to the fact that devices purchased in the Russian Federation are blocked abroad. According to one of the victims, during the trip, his smartphone turned into "a piece of useless plastic." The device functioned normally, but when trying to connect to an Egyptian wireless network, Wi-Fi unexpectedly blocked itself, giving a message as follows:

An attempt was made to activate the product from an unauthorized source. Our policy prohibits the sale or delivery of products through unauthorized channels. To exchange or return, contact the seller.

Other users say that their smartphones turned off even without connecting to foreign Wi-Fi. In response to complaints from owners, the manufacturer said that a regional lockdown does exist, but it applies only to inactive devices. The protection is said to normally work when buying a phone in one country and activating in another.

To prevent this from happening, you need to insert the SIM card of any cellular operator of the country for which the equipment is intended and make one or more calls lasting at least 30 minutes.
