2025: Centre Launch
A research and production center (SPC) for unmanned aerial vehicles called Inmar is accredited in Udmurtia. The volume of investments in equipping the center amounted to more than ₽850 million. The project included 15 residents, including Izhevsk State Technical University, Udmurt State University and large production companies. This was announced by the Chairman of the State Council of the Republic Vladimir Nevostruev on March 14, 2025.
According to Kommersant, the main goal of the new center is to form an infrastructure environment for the development, testing and production of unmanned aerial vehicles, as well as the development of related industries. Residents will SPC be able to receive grant support for the creation of prototypes and small-scale production.
Chairman of the State Council of Udmurtia Vladimir Nevostruev noted that over the past 20 years, the number of enterprises producing UAVs has grown in the region from 1 to 10. Research, production, design and educational organizations are actively involved in the industry. At a meeting of the Association of Legislative Authorities in the subjects of the Volga Federal District, Izhevsk was named one of the centers for the development of unmanned aircraft in Russia.
Drones created in the republic are used in various areas, including agricultural and forest protection activities. "Today we all see that with the help of drones, important tasks are carried out during a special military operation, the equipment and manpower of the enemy are destroyed with high accuracy," the speaker of the regional parliament emphasized.
The decision to create a research and production center was made in November 2024, when the head of the republic, Alexander Brechalov, signed a corresponding order. The area of the small center is 2.5 thousand square meters. m.[1]
