Institute of architecture and construction of VOLGGTU

As a part of IAIS VOLGTA — 29 departments, 4 territorially not isolated faculties, 27 specialized research and production laboratories and workshops. To services of students and teachers — a powerful library and information complex.

The main activity of IAIS VOLGTA is training of highly qualified construction personnel: architects, engineers, ecologists, economists. Educational process is conducted on 31 specialties, to 14 directions of a bachelor degree and 4 directions of a magistracy.

Training of graduate students on 30 specialties (7 industries of sciences), 7 specialties of doctoral candidates is performed, 3 councils for protection of doctoral and master's theses for 9 specialties work.

The international activity of IAIS VOLGTA is directed to training of highly qualified Russian specialists with the diplomas recognized at the international level on increase in the status of the university in the Russian and international market of educational services. Achievement of effective objectives is promoted by expansion of the international cooperation with foreign universities.

History

2016: Reorganization

On September 2, 2016 VOLGGASU stopped the activity according to the order of the Ministry of Education and Science of 10/28/2015 No. 1231 "About reorganization of federal state-funded educational institution of the higher education the Volgograd state technical university and federal state-funded educational institution of the highest professional educations the Volgograd state architectural and construction university".

According to the order of the rector of VOLGGTU No. 381 of VOLGGASU it was transformed to Institute of architecture and construction as a part of the Volgograd state technical university.
