2020: Start 3D - printings of bioprostheses from aluminum powders
On September 24, 2020 Rusal announced start 3D - printings of products from aluminum powders. The Institute of light materials and technologies (ILMIT) which is a part of the Russian aluminum company began to render service.
As the technical director of Rusal Victor Mann reported RIA Novosti, primary clients who order printing of products from aluminum powders on the 3D-printer are producers of bioprostheses.
According to Mann, ILMIT prints products from powders of production of Rusal including the new powders developed together with printing modes as each powder is printed on the particular treatment.
Main advantage of new technology the technical director of Rusal called that at printing production of the equipment is not required: at classical technology it will need to be made again in a case even of minor change of a form or the sizes that in comparison with 3D - printing is economically less profitable.
Additive manufacturing allows to receive new forms which or are unavailable to traditional technologies, or are extremely non-technological, and it means a possibility of creation of parts with the improved office characteristics, he emphasized.
As technologies so far only win the market, and printing in itself is still effective only for piece or small-scale products, the main orders are connected with printing of different prototypes of parts. Generally for space and mechanical engineering. Besides, we regularly print elements of ekzoprotez which 3D models are created only under the specific person taking into account his physiological features — Mann noted. |
In addition to producers of bioprostheses, interest in 3D - printings of products from aluminum powders were shown by producers of devices for the space equipment.[1]
