Institute of Image Processing Systems (ISOI) RAS

The Institute of Image Processing Systems (ISOI) of the Russian Academy of Sciences originated in the bowels of the Samara National Research University named after Academician S.P. Korolev (formerly Kuibyshev Aviation Institute) in the mid-70s. The main activity of ISOI RAS is the solution of fundamental problems of computer optics, image processing and understanding. In the structure of the ISOI RAS - five laboratories (March 2022).

History

2016: Joining the FNIC "Crystallography and Photonics"

In 2016, ISOI RAS, together with the A.V. Shubnikov Institute of Crystallography of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Institute of Laser and Information Technologies of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Center for Photochemistry of the Russian Academy of Sciences, became part of the Federal Research Center Crystallography and Photonics of the Russian Academy of the Russian of Sciences. ISOI RAS is under the scientific and methodological guidance of the Department of Nanotechnology and Information Technologies of the Russian Academy of Sciences (ONIT RAS).
