2021: Opening of the Center for Diagnosis and Treatment of Skin Cancer

On May 27, 2021, the official opening of the International Center took place. melanomas This is a project Meds"" that will combine the company's experience in the diagnosis and treatment oncological of skin diseases.

The center will work in the structure of the International Center for Oncology "Medsi" - on the basis of the clinical and diagnostic center on Krasnaya Presnya, in the clinical hospital "Medsi" in Botka passage and the hospital "Medsi" in Otradnoye.

At the International Melanoma Center, patients can undergo a comprehensive examination to detect skin neoplasms in one day. Medsi attracted oncologists, dermatologists, surgeons, specialists in related fields, diagnoses and operating doctors with extensive experience in malignant neoplasms.

Medsi opened an international melanoma center

The center works with leading international experts in the diagnosis and treatment of melanoma - and to get a "second opinion" in complex cases. Among them are Olga Vornikova, head of the department for the treatment of skin neoplasms and sarcomas of the Emek Medical Center (Israel), doctor of the Sinai Mountains Medical Center (Toronto, Canada), Raymond Karls, dermatologist, academic specialist in dermatoscopy and dermatonecology, etc.

The center uses the digital device FotoFinder Dermoscope Studio, which takes pictures of the entire surface of the skin and makes a "mole map." The device performs tumor verification noncontact, without histological examination. Thanks to such a diagnosis, it is possible to establish the presence of melanoma with high accuracy (95-99%) in just a few minutes, noted in Medsi.

The center also uses high-tech dermatoscopes, the Surgitron radio frequency plant, and a laser surgical knife. The center is equipped with operating rooms, intensive care, awakening rooms and a comfortable hospital.[1]
