2025: Construction of a plant for the production of industrial robots in St. Petersburg

On May 27, 2025, it became known that a plant for the production of industrial robots would appear in the Special Economic Zone (SEZ) "St. Petersburg." The enterprise is being built by Semargl LLC, which is part of the Intratool group of companies.

The head of the Committee on Industrial Policy, to trade St. Petersburg Innovation and Alexander Sitov said that investments in the project will amount to more than 570 million. rubles It is planned to organize the production of products in 2026.

Intratool Group of Companies will build a plant for the production of industrial robots in St. Petersburg

The Semargle website says that it specializes in the development and production of equipment for warehouse automation, as well as in the integrated robotization of production facilities. The implemented solutions are equipped with hardware and software complexes based on their own Diacon WMS management system. The development and production of equipment and software is carried out on the territory of the Russian Federation in accordance with the requirements of the state import substitution program.

According to Semargle itself, its products are in demand by industrial enterprises in many industries, including: defense industry, general engineering, oil refining, aerospace industry, logistics complexes, aircraft industry, medicine and pharmaceuticals, shipbuilding, banking, etc. The key areas of activity are:

  • Engineering and Process Engineering;
  • Production of Russian automated warehouse equipment;
  • Development and implementation of Diacon WMS own warehouse management software;
  • Robotization and digitalization of industrial production;
  • Installation, maintenance and modernization of equipment.[1]
