2023: Searches at the plant
On November 27, 2023, it became known about the searches of the Ipatov brewery. Employees arrived at the enterprise, FSB they carry out the seizure of documents.
Informed sources told RBC about the searches at the brewery that produces Zhivy beer, lemonade and power Mirax. Searches are taking place on the territory of the production site of the plant in the Stavropol Territory in connection with the identification of a scheme for the hidden production of beer, one of the interlocutors said.
By November 2023, the Ipatovo brewery is owned by businessman Mikhail Kharin. He is the general director and owns the trading structure "Prodbusiness," specializing in the wholesale trade in drinks.
The publication cites excerpts from an interview with the head of the Federal Tax Service Daniil Yegorov, who announced that his subordinates had identified a scheme to evade tax payments in the tobacco and beer markets.
Increased taxation (excise taxes are just the case) creates motives for investing in the scheme, - said Egorov. - Any scheme requires costs, and what you cannot afford to spend on the scheme under the usual taxation system is still profitable to spend, for example, in the excise system. In this sense, there are more motives and the appetite for risk is much higher, - said Egorov. |
Earlier, the president Russia Vladimir Putin signed a law aimed at strengthening control over the production and circulation of beer and beer drinks, cider, poire and mead in Russia, it provides for the creation of a register of producers of such products, while prohibiting its production to organizations that are not included in it. The law came into force on September 1, 2023.[1]
