History
The JFC company was founded in 1994 by the entrepreneur Vladimir Kekhman. From the moment of the beginning of work of the principal competitive stragiy firm the vystroyeniye of a full production cycle of import and storage of fruit was: JFC created own refrigerator fleet, bought plantations in Ecuador, and in Russia started cameras of aeration of bananas and specially equipped warehouses allowing to organize optimum delivery of fruit to retail networks. - 1994 Foundation of the company.
- 1995 Opening of the first terminal in St. Petersburg.
The first long-term contracts with the largest European suppliers.
- 1996 The beginning of work under the name of JFC (Joint Fruit Company).
- 1997 The company was included into ten the largest Russian importers of fruit.
Deliveries from South America and Africa are organized.
- 1998 Opening of the terminal in Samara.
- 1999 Creation of privat label "BONANZA-the Gold mine", obtaining exclusive rights on distribution of some other trademarks.
Beginning of work on own banana program. Bananas become the main position of the range. Opening of terminals in Moscow and Yekaterinburg.
- 2000 Turnover reached 100 million US dollars.
System implementation of accounting and budgeting in real time based on 1C.
- 2001 The company becomes the largest supplier of bananas in the Russian Federation.
Opening of the terminal in Krasnodar.
- 2002 Turnover reached 300 million US dollars.
Acquisition of the first own refrigerator vessel of an ice class. Opening in St. Petersburg of the best banana terminal in Europe. Opening of the terminal in Chelyabinsk.
- 2003 Successful implementation of the advanced management system (SAP R/3).
Debut bond issue of 700 million rubles. Gruppa JFC Ltd it is announced by Company magazine the Company of year-2003 in the Trade and Distribution nomination.
- 2004 Opening of the terminal in Novosibirsk.
The second bond issue of 1.2 billion rubles. Organization of specialized subsidiary for supply activity to retail networks. The JFC group entered in top-200 the largest non-public companies of Russia based on the rating of the Forbes and Expert magazines.
- 2005 End reorganization of Group in Russia.
Acquisition of the first plantations in Ecuador. Acquisition of 5 courts of an ice class for transportation of fruit. Opening of terminals in Kazan and Nizhny Novgorod. Debut release of CLN of 60 million US dollars. Beginning of deliveries to the markets of foreign countries. Receiving credit rating In - (Standard&Poor's).
- 2006 The conclusion of long-term contracts with the leading retail networks across all Russia.
The third bond issue of 2 billion rubles. Expansion of own plantations in Ecuador.
- 2007 Turnover reached 500 million US dollars.
Acquisition of the first banana plantations in Costa Rica, expansion of presence in Ecuador. Attraction of the international syndicated loan in the amount of 150 million US dollars. Creation and active promotion of the Russia's first fruit brand - Bonanza! Bonanza brand! entered in top-50 goods best-sellers on volumes of retail sales in Russia in a year according to the Forbes magazine. Creation of a new distribution channel - piece sale of fruit through vending network. Completion of formation of the international holding structure of Group.
