Jive Software releases software products for joint work in network between certain users and groups. Solutions of the company help producers, to partners, clients and the staff of the organizations to communicate in real time (forums, chats, instant messages, etc.) for quality improvement of products, acceleration of business processes and establishing contacts. Jive Software has several partners in Russia. Among them — Softline (data for May, 2017).

2017: ESW Capital buys Jive Software for $462 million

On May 1, 2017 it was announced sale of Jive Software of private investment company ESW Capital. As a result of the transaction the vendor will join the software Aurea group which is managed by ESW.

Jive Software is sold for $462 million or $5.25 counting on one action. The company which went public in August, 2011 will stop being public.

Formally Jive Software is bought by Wave Systems company, affiliated with ESW. After closing of the transaction Jive Software will become a part of the Aurea group which offers the software in the field of sales and marketing to such clients as MetLife, PayPal and TicketMaster.

The analyst of Constellation Research Alan Lepofsky noted that Jive Software initially developed solutions for joint work and communications between different to the companies, and then added tools for internal communication of employees. After sale Jive Software becomes not clear whether the company will continue to develop both directions of interaction, the expert considers.

According to forecasts of MarketsandMarkets, the volume of the world market of corporate social applications (Enterprise Social Software) at which Jive Software works will reach $8.14 billion by 2019.[1]
