2025: Court orders refund of surgery money and moral compensation for publication of naked patient's pictures
In December 2025, a patient of the Yuhelf aesthetic medicine clinic located in Ufa filed a lawsuit. The reason was the publication of nude photos of a woman on the Internet resources of a medical institution. According to the plaintiff, the pictures were posted without her consent.
The chief physician of the Yuhelf clinic, Artur Sultanbaev, did not admit the charges in a comment for the Mash Batash Telegram channel. A spokesman for the institution said the administration learned of the trial from news publications.
According to Sultanbayev, the meeting was held without notification and participation of representatives of the clinic. The head physician said that the patient signed an informed voluntary consent, including permission to use photographic materials. Published pictures from the clinic's digital sites have already been removed, Sultanbaev noted.
According to the publication "Лента.ру," the procedure cost the woman 112 thousand rubles. According to the results of the proceedings, the court satisfied the claim, obliging the medical institution not only to return the cost of the operation, but also to pay compensation for moral damage, a fine, as well as reimburse other costs.[1]
