2025: Launch of series production of electric motorcycles
Serial production of electric motorcycles was first launched in Russia on the basis of the Kaliningrad Motor Plant. The company was the first in the country to begin industrial production of electric vehicles in the two-wheeled segment. This project became known in June 2025.
The product line of the Kaliningrad enterprise is fully formed from the development of its own designers and engineers. The company supplies quadricycles, motorcycles and electric motorcycles to the Russian market and for export to more than 10 countries.
Over twenty years of operation, more than 120 thousand units of motor products under the Baltmotors, Baltmotors Striker brands and Barboss, Snowdog and Bulldog cross-country traffic, popular in foreign markets, have come off the assembly line of the enterprise.
Since 2022, the company has been implementing an investment project worth ₽150 million for the development and production of a series of hybrid and electric all-wheel drive motorcycles. The power of the engines of the new models ranges from 5 to 8 kW.
Part of the funds for the development of the electric direction was raised thanks to state support measures. The Kaliningrad Motor Plant received federal subsidies for partial compensation of transportation costs, as well as subsidies for research and development work.
The company became a borrower of the regional anti-crisis program, having received ₽25 million through the My Business Center in the Kaliningrad Region to replenish working capital. State support allowed the company to accelerate the introduction of new technologies.
The founder of the company Dmitry Sivkov noted that the Bulldog model became the world's first extreme cross-country electric motorcycle with two electric motors. The vehicle is equipped with a built-in charger and generator that allows you to charge the motorcycle on the go.[1]
