Kamennogorsky karyeroupravleniye

Kamennogorskoye karyeroupravleniye Ltd (KKU) - one of the main producers of nonmetallic construction materials of North-West Region. The enterprise is on the right bank of the river of Vuoksa in 38 km to the north from the city of Vyborg.

KKU arose in 1948 as section of the Vyborg karyeroupravleniye, here on site the Finnish stone quarry in 600 meters is the rich field of gray granite, the Vuoksa River is close located, nearby there passes the railway line, Vyborg - Svetogorsk, Vyborg - Hiytola, to the junction station of the city of Kamennogorsk of 2 km. Near the plant the settlement Granite is located.

At first at the enterprise blocks of granite products were issued, only manual work and small-scale mechanization was applied. B1969 to year of KKU is selected as the independent enterprise. At this time at the plant produce 900 thousand CBM of crushed stone and sand, 191 CBM of blocks, 4000 running meters of an onboard stone.

The enterprise is mechanized by all types of production. Main engines: drilling rigs, bulldozers, excavators, dump trucks, jaw crushers, conical crushers, inertial roar, belt conveyors.

The KKU granite crushed stone is widely used in all types of construction works: as fillers for different types of concrete, in bridge constructions, at construction of highways and the airports, for a bed of railway tracks.

700 people, them them 100 people management work at the enterprise.

In the rating of the enterprises of construction materials and building industry of leaders of a construction complex of Russia KKU Ltd took the 47th place. KKU Ltd participated in a photo exhibition which was open in the regional Government house in honor of 75 - the anniversaries of the Leningrad Region.
